A quick note about my sister and how her becoming a realtor came to be.
I was on vacation with my sister in the area and fell in love with the beautiful mountains of Murphy. A few years later I bought a chalet to use as a rental and after traveling back and forth to Florida I decided it was time to follow my heart and make the move to "them thar hills."
It was in 2003 that I packed up and left my cleaning and housewatch business on Sanibel Island to venture to the mountains and start anew. I must say that never once have I regretted the move. Quite the contrary. I think it is the smartest thing I have ever done and feel blessed to have the opportunity to age gracefully here in these mountains.
For a year and a half I immersed myself in my new home, in exploring Murphy and in reflection as I watched the fog roll in and back out in the mornings and the geese flying to and from the lake. It was time well spent and after I became recharged and invigorated I decided it was time for me to start out in a new venture and real estate seemed to be a perfect fit. Because I find this area irresistible I find it easy for me to promote it and driving around these beautiful mountains leads me to believe that this is the best job any person could have. I love helping folks find their "peace of the mountains" so that they too may enjoy the same joy here that I have experienced.
